Violence and Schooling in the U.S.- The Democratic Normalizing of Toxicity

September 25th, 2019- UNESCO 12th International Summer School -Maria Grzegorzewska University in Warsaw, Poland

This will be an honest and direct conversation regarding the school violence and safety issues that plague so many U.S. school campuses. Special attention will be paid to the disparate discursive foci paid to issues of school shootings and particular forms of bullying versus more common and wide-spread forms of violence that impact marginalized communities and more privileged students alike.
